Green & Wild’s officially began in 2010, but for founders John and Alex, the journey started much earlier. As lifelong animal lovers and nature enthusiasts, their passion has always been rooted in caring for both pets and the planet. What began as a shared love for the outdoors and animals evolved into a mission: to create natural, eco-friendly, and sustainable toys, treats, and chews that genuinely enhance the health and happiness of pets, while treading lightly on the Earth we all share.
Today, Green& Wild’s provides thoughtfully designed products for dogs, cats, and now even horses, bringing truly healthy and sustainable options to pets across the UK and beyond.
Green&Wild’s commitment to responsible business practices has not gone unnoticed. The company has once again been awarded Ethical Accreditation and continues to retain its ranking in the Cat & Dog Food Ethical Rating Table by The Good Shopping Guide. Even more impressively, Green&Wild’s has been named one of the Top 200 Ethical Companies and Brands in the world.
This recognition reflects a genuine dedication to ethical sourcing, sustainability, and transparency. Independently certified through Ethical Accreditation, Green&Wild’s undergoes regular reviews of its policies, practices, and public record, ensuring there is no greenwashing, just authentic commitment to doing better.
At Green&Wild’s, simplicity is key. Natural and unprocessed is always best. That’s why many of their treats proudly carry the 100% 1 Ingredient Award, meaning exactly what it says. One ingredient. Nothing hidden. No artificial additives. No preservatives. Simply air-dried to retain natural goodness.
This straightforward approach gives pet owners confidence that what they are feeding is clean, healthy, and species-appropriate.
One of their most popular products, the Antler Chews, are sourced from naturally shed deer antlers, never farmed or artificially removed. Each spring, deer naturally shed their antlers and grow a new pair. Green&Wild’s simply collects these Grade A or AA antlers, responsibly sourced from the UK and Europe, then washes and cuts them into durable chews.
They are fully traceable, sustainable, and a perfect example of working with nature rather than against it.
Green&Wild’s is also embracing the future of sustainable pet nutrition with their NEW insect protein treats. Insect protein is an exceptionally high-quality source of nutrition, but with a dramatically lower environmental impact compared to traditional livestock farming.
In fact, insect protein production uses:
* 92% less land
* 99% less water
* Produces 99.96% fewer greenhouse gases compared to beef farming
As sustainability becomes increasingly important in pet nutrition, insect protein is expected to play a major role in the future of treats and pet food.
All fish treats are ethically and sustainably caught in European waters. Green & Wild’s does not support the use of endangered species, overfished stocks, or products sourced from unregulated suppliers. While these options may be cheaper, they do not align with the brand’s ethical standards.
Green & Wild’s eco toys are crafted from sustainable materials such as jute, a natural, biodegradable plant fibre, and recycled by-products that would otherwise go to waste. The materials are renewable, recyclable, and designed to minimise environmental impact without compromising on durability or enjoyment.
Sustainability extends beyond the products themselves. Packaging is kept to an absolute minimum wherever possible. Most packaging materials consist of paper, card, jute string, and kraft bags. As eco-packaging technology evolves, Green & Wild’s continually seeks better, more sustainable solutions.
Where plastic is necessary, such as for Super Salmon Oil or dietary supplements, bottles are made from recycled plastic and can be recycled again once empty. Treat packaging can also be recycled at facilities that accept soft plastics.
Green & Wild’s proudly stands as part of a growing movement that believes business and ethics should work together. Every product must meet their core values: natural, healthy, sustainable, ethically sourced, and produced with animal welfare at the forefront.
At PN Nutricare, we are proud to align with brands that share these values, prioritising health, transparency, and environmental responsibility in everything they do.
